Seoul, South Korea — At the 30th Congress of the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA), held lasts 29 Oct. 2024 – 2 Nov. 2024, pharmacy leaders from across Asia gathered to unveil a powerful initiative aimed at combating the rising tide of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by empowering pharmacists as champions of health promotion. Representing national pharmacy organizations across the Western Pacific, Southeast Asian, and Eastern Mediterranean regions, FAPA’s new statement calls for reimagining pharmacies as wellness hubs, promoting preventive and community-centered care.
