nnIn our last September Bureau Meeting (2015 September), and the Meeting of Member Associations’ Presidents in Manila, we has investigated all the pharmaceutical organizations around Asia from the Internet and made the list of potential members for FAPA to get in contact with.  We sent the first batch of communication with the current FAPA Brochure and also the Membership application form to those potential members.  However just a few did reply to our contact and we are now keep continuing with them and hopefully our President Joseph Wang and our President Elect Mr. Dani Pratomo (together with Bureau members) could possibly arrange some visits to the pharmaceutical organizations to meet-up with them.nnOur target to increase FAPA memberships from the current 18 member associations to the expected number of 24 or 30, which means 6 to 12 new members to join in FAPA before the end of this term of Office (14th, 2015/01/01-2018/12/031).nn nnUPDATE (14th, 2018/07/30)nnTheir vision to expand the membership of the Federation has been achieved. From eighteen (18) Member Associations (MAs) it now has twenty four (24) (MAs) as it welcomed Emirates Pharmacy Society (EPS), Afghanistan Nationwide Pharmacists Association (ANPA), Myanmar Pharmaceutical Association (MPA), Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Society (BPS), Pharmaceutical Society of Papua New Guinea (PSPNG), and Jordan Pharmacists Association (JPA). These organizations are enthusiastic to collaborate with FAPA to uplift and improve the practice of pharmacy in their respective countries and to strengthen ties with pharmacy associations across the Asia-Pacific.
