nn nn nnAbout PSAnnThe Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) is the peak national health body for pharmacists after the Australian Government recently awarded PSA with peak body status.nnPSA proudly represents 29,000 pharmacists working in all sectors and locations of Australia.  Our core functions relevant to pharmacists include:n

• providing high quality continuing professional development, education and practice support to pharmacists;

• developing and advocating standards and guidelines to inform and enhance pharmacists’ practice; and

n

• representing pharmacists’ role as frontline health professionals.

nThe core business of PSA is practice improvement in pharmacy by providing continuing professional development and practice support, in order to improve the health of Australians.nnPSA is also the largest provider of high-quality pharmacist education in Australia and is committed to developing new roles for pharmacists supported through robust, evidence-based advocacy, practical resources and appropriate funding mechanisms.nn

nn nn[FAPA Member Associations Write-Up Series]:nSince FAPA’s expending its exposure and influence in Asia, we also would like to urge our Member Associations to be aware by the region colleagues, especially in pharmacy. In these serveries, we’ve kindly request the current 18 ordinary members of FAPA to provide 100~200 write-up and also a short film (<3minutes) to introduce us again the organization, its efforts in developing pharmacy profession, and also its expectation to FAPA, to work with FAPA to this global healthcare system.
